After thunderstorms rolled though Moab this week, the many washes were filled with water runoff and mud. yes, lots of mud to jeep in. This pic was taken in Canyonlands National Park on the famous Scheafer Trail. This was not as bad as it could have been. We followed a rented jeep through a big mud hole that was quite deep. After we drove through it, we stopped to talk to the people in the rented jeep. As many rented jeeps have the tops off and no windows, the occupants were covered with red mud. They were laughing so hard it got us laughing. They decided to turn around and drive through the mud puddle two more times. We hated to remind them that the rented jeep had to be returned clean. They would definitely have their work cut out for them.
We have so enjoyed our stay in Moab. The weather has been just perfect (except for a few interesting storms and 6 hours of tornado warnings). Tomorrow we continue our migration south to Arizona stopping at Monument Valley for a few days.
