St Mary, MT
Glacier National Park
July 21, 2012
We have been enjoying the wonders of Glacier from it’s many waterfalls, lakes, glaciers and high mountain peaks. The weather has been challenging and changing by the minute.
This was taken in early evening near the St Mary entrance to the park. The wildflowers have been jaw dropping this summer in Montana.
Bear grass only blooms every 5-7 years and we have been lucky to find it blooming on the steep mountainsides near Logan Pass.
Here is a slope side view of a blooming patch of bear grass.
Lunch Creek is rushing with snow melt from the high mountains. This is just a short view of a very long cascade. Could sit here all day.
