Driving from the old ghost town of St Elmo to the Continental Divide near Tin Cup Pass was an amazing ride. A view looking back from Tin Cup Pass with a beautiful range of mountains in the San Isabel National Forest. The road is visible in the middle of the image.
The rocky land along Tin Cup Pass
The air at 12,142 ft is a little thin but the scenery is jaw dropping with dozens of different alpine tundra wildflowers in bloom.
Our last stop was Cottonwood Pass at 12,142 ft elevation. The rain and lightning where closing in fast.
