The drive up to Pomeroy Lake was filled with scenic mountain vistas and old abandoned mining buildings from the Mary Murphy Mine. While the mine prospered from 1870, it was closed down in 1926.
The is a view of the Ridge at 12,351 feet as we climbed to the lakes.
At the end of the trail, we took a short hike to Lower Pomeroy Lake.
