Cody, Wyoming
June 30, 2012
From the rarefied heights of Montana’s alpine tundra to the thirsty soils of Wyoming’s High Plains desert, this spectacular drive winds through some of the most beautiful and varied landscapes in the Yellowstone region.
Here is a view of the many wildflowers that live in the alpine tundra ecosystem above 10,000 ft elevation.
This is Twin Lake from over 10,000 ft near Beartooth Pass. The view is just endless.
Our new jeeping friends, Larry and Ulla, who enjoyed this drive as much as we did.
